Kurrajong,
I've been living on this property for almost 9 years and the average annual rainfall is 934mm[37"] using a rain gauge. I have lived in the SW of WA for 45 years and grown used to the dry summers and this is exceptional.
I have a large rain catchment for the existing tank which can fill it 3 times in a year[140,000L tank approx] so summer rain usually keeps it well up and it's quickly full in the winter. Water tanks are expensive and take up a lot of space, so I don't want to take that path if this is a 1 in 45 year anomaly but thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.
