Well the ramp up of mass shootings since 2010 and again in the last five years would be in line with cost of living pressures from QE and record low interest rates since the GFC onset.
Such remedies would not be possible prior to 1971. I know it is not obvious but I see a link even if others do not.
Even the mass shootings starting in the 1920's for the twentieth century which happened to be the roaring twenties where one was gang related. The other two where strike related
Note no Mass shootings during WW1 and WW2 separate from war related activity where there was a POW incident in 1945.
