The courts are also a great way of bring attention to oneself, and in Egypt this seems to be the way for the politics and ex - politicians or would be politicians to position themselves.

But in the end the courts will uphold the law, or if they do not, then they will find it most difficult (impossible) to attract investment. Already major investment in Egypt would only be for brave, to be polite. But then if the Legal fraternity start playing with retrospective changes, then all bets wold be off, and investment money would simply go elsewhere.

The court case is one of many, where the Courts in Egypt have challenged a number of commercial deals reached during the rule of Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted last year, which only adds to investor worries at a time when the government is trying to revive confidence in the economy. Buts its a popular thing to do? Its a pity they do not do something a lot more constructive and try to build new industries, create employment, create investor confidence in Egypt etc.

If the decision of the court in Egypt is negative then there will always be the International Court of Justice, so this has the potential to go on for a long time, ... it could be assumed perhaps that the International Court, would be focussed on the law
