Are US statistics reliable anymore?

    Maybe a better word would be "believable'?
    One would sure as hell hope so because of the old adage "as goes America, so goes the world"
    That may not be so true as it was decades ago of course because it's a more multi-polar economic environment and the US is nowhere near the economic force it was.
    But it still counts and financial commentator Jeffrey Tucker worries that their statistics have been degraded to less than useful and heading for totally misleading, if not there already.
