    Definitely not.

    I am not sure who told you that, but going into administration doesn't constitute the shares being worthless and therefore the ability to crystallise your loss.

    It requires an actual declaration from the administrator to enable this - that the shares are worthless.

    They seldom do this until they have exhausted all avenues (our money).
