Bacci i think Ms Rinehart would be much less likely to face charges than i and much less likely to be convicted. Money talks and powerful interests/people would intervene on her behalf.
I imagine Thompson will eventually face charges under the legal system. The facade that has been played out so far is purely to allow the Govt to stay in power. Hardly surprising they would do this.
I don't doubt the kind of offenses he may have committed are a common occurrence in both private and Govt enterprise. If Thompsons vote was not so needed he would have been fed to the fish long ago.
