It's been mostly downhill since the re-listing but are we finally at or nearing the bottom?

1. The nbn rollout (which has sucked profitability out of the sector for years) is nearing completion (it'll never recover from the wasteful madness of the multi technology mess but at least it's impacts on the retailers should start to diminish)
2. We're getting a surge of immigrants and students back into the country, a fair portion of whom might be attracted by TPG's lower cost options
3. Increasing overseas travel might be expected to continue to tick up roaming revenues
4. All of TLS, OPTUS and TPG must be weary of the intense competition and discounting. Might we see some more rational pricing from here?

Any player in this industry needs deep pockets to fund the ongoing Capital requirements and Telstra's greater scale and network confers an obvious advantage but this incarnation of TPG seems better able to compete across the board. Personally I've found the TPG offerings better value and haven't been a Telstra customer for years.

We've had the plunges and more recently a consolidation of sorts. I've been accumulating below $5 on what I expect to be better prospects ahead.
