Be careful with Trading in the Zone.

Read the intro very very carefully and note (not verbatim)

"...assumes you already have a edge".

This book is for traders who have a system that works, but the trader is the problem. This book is of diminished value if you don't have a system/method with a verified track record of statistics and is known to work.

For those of you who ask the question, if I had an edge, then why bother with the book, you will understand when you have something you know (because it has been proven to be profitable) that works and is your edge in the markets.

For traders who think they should read before having an edge will miss the benefit of the book.

This is not a book for a newbie, except to know at some point they will need to read it AFTER they have graduated to making reasonable or close to breakeven on trading but can't get you where you need to be.

The point is that 90% of trading is mental, and that is what the book addresses. If you haven't actually been trading and struggling along, a lot of it will seem like motherhood, until you've traded - then you'll have a different view.
