This is why I normally avoid construction companies. Macmahons is another "there will be no bad news" company. deny deny deny. I'm not saying brierty management are lying in this particular case, just that it is a common feature of construction companies and shareholders should be wary.

I think leaks are common. The way that info gets leaked is because supplier will be getting delays on payments, clients receive more claims and employees talk with friends about expected sackings. If you want to get the gossip you need to talk with one of the leaks (there are normally plenty).

I guess it's time to downsize the offices and sack the overpaid or mcBain will face the axe. I wonder if anyone has pointed this out to him. I know management consultants would rather keep a pay check for one more year than suggest a client sacks them...
