This wasn't under any off beat/weird section so I listed it under General instead of Humour. Does music coincide with different times as well? Whenever a new song comes out should we measure the beats and try to coincide them with the volatility as traders? We have charts why not sound waves/music to predict the market now lol!?

Scientists are warning that Beyonce's song 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' could lead to economic collapse.

Songs with a more regular beat coincide with stock market volatility, according to a study at New York University.

Finance and risk engineering professor Phil Maymin has studied America's Billboard chart for decades.

His research shows that the beat variance of songs actually predicts the market.

It becomes unstable only after the charts are full of steady tunes.

The last market crash coincided with the release of A-Ha's 'Take On Me', which has a steady beat.

But songs with more complex arrangements are popular when the market is less volatile.

Beyonce is currently at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
