IMO if there is a crash it will start in the USA and the
big question is, if so, will that be similar to the GFC
that hit most of the western economies via banking contamination
or will it be different?
IMO if the US drops into serious recession for whatever reasons,
that China will further goose its economy to avoid recession too
as it dis in 2008-2012. If so that could bode well for Iron Ore,
Met Coals etc without the flow-on effect of the Chinese
GFC investments in Aus. We have crapped in the Chinese
bed by rejecting its BRI and declaring China as our # 1 enemy
so China is not likely to risk further Aus investment and the
Yanks are likely to call home Aus investments should it hit
a serious recession.
As such the Chinese will likely teach us an object lesson
in geopolitics/economics.
