re: are we not thinking!? Shares in Rupert Murdoch's News Corp (ASX: NCP) fell more than four percent on Thursday as Australian fund managers began selling up to A$15 billion ($10.3 billion) of the media group's stock ahead of an expected shift to the United States.
$1b traded yesterday, that leaves $14b to go :)
"Ultimately, 99 percent of Australian (institutional) investors will have to sell out of News Corp," said AMP Capital Investors head of investment strategy Shane Oliver.
"There's a sense of dislocation because Australian investors are selling out and U.S. investors are not yet buying in," said Oliver. "At the moment you are just seeing one leg of the process. It's certainly not justified in a longer term sense."
