I like music and Im an ametuar musician and Id have to say that everyone at a train station is in a hurry. They are there to catch a train and usually don't have any time to listen because they are usually trying to get to the correct platform in time to get a seat on the train.
I think maybe this guy should pick a different spot, perhaps a park or a café. I have played in cafe's and restaurants and a couple of pubs and mostly you get a reasonable crowd that is there to sit and listen.
