I suppose it's reasonable for someone to lobby 1 on 1 for a vote provided the information emanating from the lobbyist does not extend beyond what is publicly available.
Did the person who called re your vote identify who they represented and say which way they would prefer the vote to go? I wonder what number of shares is sufficent incentive for a lobby call?
"What would be in it for them?" Well the Glencore deal would be off the table. That alone would be a great result for YTG but I doubt whether it would be a great result for independent shareholders.
