Depends on your attitude to life. If you are older you can start losing interest, wind down and do nothing. My philosophy is to make everyday count (a suggestion made to me by a good teacher I had at age14) whether you're 70 or 100 and keep interested and doing stuff - health permitting. I have an individual in this family who is 104 and is spritely and interested in family, current affairs, cooking ( lives independantly) and looking after his investments. The thing is, you have no idea how long you have left, so the idea of winding down at 75 (about my vintage) or 80 could mean you are writing off another 20-25 yrs of an interesting and productive life. Philosophy lesson for today. I'd better mention what a kick I am getting out of investing in PLS (just in case the mod thinks I'm off topic).
