Just looked up that lens you mentioned as i have never heard of it, and been out of the game for a few decades now.
sure both the Mac and Newt are both nice and compact, but they both are mirror lenses, hence bounce back and forth.
You will never get the clarity, unless you use a direct optical GLASS lens.
In saying that just a small knock will skew it, and keep it well away from moisture as the reflective coating is subject for fungus more so than a straight glass optical lens. Or used to be.
