areva buy mey to average down?

Imagine you are Areva.
A couple years ago, you paid $16/lb for Uramin's deposit at Trekkopje.
This got you 157Mlbs U308 at 130ppm ($2.5bn)

Marenica have now posted 85Mlbs at similar geology and better grades.
The deposit is only up the road from your mine and you have large and ongoing supply commitments for the next 30+ years.

Would it not make sense to acquire this 85Mlbs at, say $4/lb?
This would extend Trekkopje footprint to around 242Mlbs, with increased prospectivity.

And it would bring your $16/lb average right down to a more respectable $11.7/lb

Make no mistake ... Areva has big plans for Trekkopje and Namibia.
We're talking about one of the world's top five, low cost, open pit operations.
