THE United Africa Group (UAG) has bought a 50 per cent share of Areva's Wlotzkasbaken/Trekkopje Desalination Plant, worth about N$1,8 billion.
Namibia's first desalination plant is expected to be inaugurated in April when the first processed seawater will be made available to Areva's Trekkopje uranium mine.
Areva intend(s) to continue disinvesting in the desalination plant. The reason for this was because the mining at Trekkopje is Areva's main concern.
