Well said BillyIdol. May I suggest, coffeesnob, that you read "The Little Book of Common Sense Investing" by John Bogle (founder of Vanguard Investments and pioneer of index funds). I read the whole thing in about 2 hours on a plane and still think it's revealed more to me about investing than any other book I've read.
Also "Buffettology", by Mary Buffett and David Clark, is worth a read.
I've probably learnt as much from HotCopper as from any books I've read!
