Shares: 94.1 mill. Fully diluted: About 95 mill. ARG buys back shares from time to time. Share price: $CAN1.75. Dividends in 2006 totalled 9 cents with div yield: 5.14%.

Business: "Minera Valle Central (MVC) produces copper and molybdenum concentrates from tailings from the world’s largest underground copper mine, Codelco’s El Teniente mine, a copper producer for the past 100 years with remaining ore reserves lasting many more decades. MVC currently treats all the fresh tailings from El Teniente’s present production, and has the right to treat the higher grade tailings from a 200 million tonne abandoned tailings impoundment known as Colihues".

Comment: MVC is 100% owned by ARG. The contract with Codelco runs at least till 2021. A royalty is paid to Codelco.

"MVC’s annualized production is scheduled to increase to approximately 60 million pounds of copper and 1 million pounds of molybdenum by the end of 2007 due to:

(1) Codelco’s scheduled increase in throughput at El Teniente from current levels of 135,000 tpd of fresh tailings to approximately 180,000 tpd.

(2) Increasing extraction from Colihues through an expansion initiated in 2005. MVC now has the right to extract up to 45,000 tpd from Colihues and plans on having the equipment in place to take advantage of the increased extraction rights by the end of 2006. The contract with Condelco runs out in 2020".
