President Mauricio Macri said Wednesday that "Argentina will be great when each province and each region develops to its full potential." In this sense he referred to the works in the north of the country and the Plan Belgrano, during a tour of the works of the El Bolsón Reservoir Dam, in Catamarca.
In addition, he made special mention about the future of the lithium industry in Argentina. In this regard, he mentioned the possibilities opened by lithium mining, "which is the most demanded mineral in the world, and Argentina can become the world's leading supplier," he said. "Behind that there will be thousands of Argentines with a good job," he said.
Macri observed the process of loading the reservoir, which will take approximately a year, to bring drinking and irrigation water to the Catamarca departments of La Paz and El Alto, and the town of Santiago de Frías, benefiting 50,000 inhabitants.
