An interview by Neil Pasco of Tony Grey last week: uranium prices to go up; 3 mines policy in WA and Qld to be abolished shortly after the election; and Arnhem land the most prospective for U explorers in the world. GPN holds tenements here, yes?

Tony Grey, Australia's “Mr Uranium”, says state-based bans in Queensland and WA could be lifted immediately after this year's federal election. Grey, now a director of Mega Uranium, also puts his weight behind a widening consensus that uranium prices are in for another wave of “upward pressure” in the coming months.

Grey is the Canadian executive who led a decade-long campaign to develop Jabiluka through his former company, Pancontinental. Grey wrote an excellent book on the subject, Jabiluka: The battle to mine Australia's uranium (Text Publishing 1994).

Pascoe: Who do you think among your competition has the most interesting prospects?

Grey: Well in my opinion, the Pine Creek geosyncline is the most prospective area for uranium in the world and that is a very large geological occurrence that is in the Northern Territory, mainly in Arnhem Land.

Pascoe: So your tip for investors is look for those who have territory there?

Grey: Wouldn't be a bad place to look.
