China is a master at this and is quite willing to employ sticks as well as carrots to achieve their aims. What interests me is how this could possibly impact on MYL. Is pressure being applied to give preferential treatment to Chinese investment rather than to other nations companies?
I don't expect this to seriously affect MYL's mining application for example but this is all part of any sovereign risk analysis. Could it impact a future Chinese backed TO attempt?
MYL is still one of my favourite stocks regardless.
