Through geological exploration, it has been that determined Toromocho contains a reserve of 1526 million tons of ore with an average grade of copper of 0.48%, an average grade of molybdenum of 0.019% and an average grade of silver of 6.88 grams per ton.

The Toromocho project will produce one million tons of copper concentrate, 10 thousand tons of molybdenum and 4 million ounces of silver oxide annually. It will also generate important benefits, due to the 5,000 jobs created during the mine’s construction stage, 2500 jobs generated directly, and the 7500 generated indirectly during production over the following 32 years. In addition, considering a price of copper at three dollars; 7.6 billion dollars via taxes, 3.8 billion dollars through the mining canon, 760 million dollars via royalties and 2.1 billion dollars through utilities’ payments will be obtained during life-of-mine.
