No doubt he'll get the bare buttocks salute - a sign of contempt.

Prime Minister John Howard will be greeted by anti-war protestors when he arrives in Auckland this afternoon.

Demonstrations have been planned for the three days of Mr Howard's visit.

The New Zealand Greens believe Mr Howard should not have been invited here because of his views on Iraq.

They are threatening to disrupt some of his official functions and will boycott a state banquet in Mr
    Howard's honour.

NZ Prime Minister Helen Clark says the Greens are being immature and should treat Mr Howard with courtesy.

During his 3-day visit Mr Howard will help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the free trade agreement between Australia and New Zealand.

He will also hold talks with Miss Clark and her Cabinet before flying home on Monday.
