Spot on. Although the Indonesians may relax the export ban eventually the damage will be done.
This proves first hand to potential strategic investors the risks of investing billions in these countries when the rules can change.
While the current rule impacts DSO nickel miners what’s to say in 5-7 years if they invest billions in processing plant and the Indo govt decides that any nickel and cobalt product cannot be exported and now batteries and cars now all need to be made in Indonesia.
Certainly looking good for ARL.
