When stock price goes down, you'll hear the typical whining about shorters, bots, manipulation, etc. Not saying those things don't happen, but generally they are justifications to compensate for the cognitive dissonance that occurs when the stock doesn't do what a stock holder thinks it should. People don't like to think they just were wrong in their analysis and assumptions, they rather explain it away as some kind of nefarious force outside their analysis. At the end of the day, stock is worth what someone will pay for it, just like anything else.
