Staying with the theme and giving credit where it’s due:
is Tesla becoming part of the big game requires us to pursue the lowest cost avenue of production?

The move in to China can only say yes, they are.
In time the Chinese labour market will price itself out of the race again ( these things are cyclical ), but for now they are still one of the cheapest destinations for manufacturers.

Will this mean we see more competitive Tesla’s hitting the world market? We must conclude that we will. Toyota etc announcing their big plans for EVs will do nothing if not shake up the EV game- it’s starting to move toward the mainstream now and that means that price will be an ever more defining factor.

With the low maintenance and running costs combined with the feel good/ability to be fuelled up at home, sales should start to solidify.

I visited my hometown yesterday and it’s not all about EVs but has anyone else seen this in their town? A Honda showroom inside the shopping centre!

I think this is a new approach that is targeted at the younger among us but we notice that there is a good section of green on the menu. Not much info for us all but I thought it was fun!

Is this the start of getting a new motor or motor upgrade while we shop? Perhaps a peep in to a future where we have a plethora of EV options from tiny 1-2 passenger mobility solutions right up to the normal passenger vehicle?

Will our new purchase drive us from the shopping centre straight home by itself someday? Will it drive us from home to the shops so that it can get a replacement motor while we shop?
