Given the tight share register, with the T20 making up approx. 54%, plus another guesstimated 35% LT shs not in the T20, that’s about 90% SOI held tightly.
My guesstimate is deduced from the low share trading volume over the past three months. At most, the 3-month trading volume is about 10% of SOI. These trades very likely include repeat shs.
That means the vast majority of shs are already aware of the significance of the impending announcement, and are eagerly awaiting to know the outcome of the JV negotiation.
Question:
Is an extended trading halt over the long weekend necessary then?
Moreover, it’s not that any ARL sh, whether LT or ST, can do anything when the ASX is closed for that period.
