Great poem, and probably a sad reality.
I have been wondering about these shenanigans also. Yesterday we have a 27% spike on no news. There has been some speculation about ARL being a leaky ship, which I strongly doubt -- in all my dealings with Board members at ARL they have been very careful not to divulge market sensitive material that is not public. However, significant ARL announcements have to be scrutinised by ASIC and the ASX. How many people in these bureaucracies will see these announcements one week before us mugs. How easy it would be to have a third party do some buying on the strength of these announcements. White collar crime is not heavily punished in Australia, and the risk of being caught is not great. This may all be too obvious, but it has just occurred to me.
I hope I am wrong, and apologies to those at ASX and ASIC if I am wildly mistaken.
