At the end of the day technical analysis is a distillation of psychology in my opinion. Markets are made up of humans and despite delusions convincing the individual otherwise, not a single one of us is completely cold and logical, with zero emotion. If anything, when emotions are repressed they act stronger upon the individual in the subconscious, leading to unintended consequences/biases.
