When it comes to blue sky speculation on ARL, there is one word I think of.

Apple.

We know Apple is looking for ethical cobalt and is talking directly to miners - this has been publicly reported.

We know Apple consumes about 5,000t cobalt/pa (and growing), and has dabbled in the driverless car space

We know ARL has positioned itself as the worlds largest source of ethical cobalt and can meet 5,000t/pa, then some...

We know ARL is looking for a cornerstone partner that will de-risk the project.

To say Apple has ample cash reserves to back this thing is probably the understatement of the century.

Is there a better strategic partner we could hope for? Personally I do not think so.

Where else could Apple source ethical cobalt from at the scale they need? Who else could supply ethical cobalt to meet the demand growth trajectory of Apple? Particularly if they go hard into EV and/or home storage?

Yes it is blue sky, but it also stands to reason that if Apple is going to source ethical cobalt from miners, that ARL would be top of the global list. There simply isn't anything else operating, or with plans to operate, from a jurisdiction that I believe would warrant Apple deadline with directly.

Am I wrong?
