    Armageddon happened around 70AD when the Romans, fed up with a troublesome provence, levelled the temple and scattered the population. That was the period when the return of Jesus in power and glory was promised.

    Armageddon is only mentioned once in the Scriptures in the book written about 1/4 of a century after the Romans demonstrated the Jews were no longer God's people. It was primarily to show God's ''slaves'', or those that were now God's people what would occur in the future during what was referred to as ''the Lord's day''.
