It is something people should definitely familiarise themselves with. The mentality is
"just because we see it happen all the time, it means it must be ok"
My broker once got accosted by ASIC because I pulled a large buy order during pre-open after market. He was instructed to dictate to me how market manipulation is a very serious offence, blah blah blah....
My motivations for pulling the order were far from sinister, but irated me the most was that you see U bids and what have you getting pulled on stocks all day every day and I wonder if those brokers/insto's get a wrap on the knuckles....hmmmm....I think not.
