FYI the ACCC gave Armaguard permission to take over their competitor Prosegur recently even though it would wipe out competition.

Under undertakings given to the ACCC, Armaguard had pledged to not increase prices for existing customers for three years and by no more than CPI plus 7.5 per cent after that.

A few months later they are crying poor and want to charge more. They have threatened to shut up shop. Hence the negotiations and unwillingness to open up their books to scrutiny.
