I have zero concerns using military in the events you mentioned

They are vastly different to police work though

and one can see from Bruce’s post - it’s a minefield that one enters and it full of risks

I think dr strangeloves term of unscrambling an omelette is useful here

IMO - if you begin to use troops for control of your populace - you can get an omelette - and a very shitty omelette

the risk is that it might not be able to be unscrambled
