For those of us that can remember those incredible choc chip Marylands, and no Im not talking the American stuff shamelessly back on our supermarket shelves BUT not really selling it seems, perhaps Im about to put those US dissappointments to the sword.
Arnotts r indeed selling a biscuit fairly close to the lovely old Maryland.
They r called the "Premier" choc chip cookie.
Not only do Arnotts have this biscuit but Coles seem to be marketing it in a slightly smaller box but with the same packaging and same 40% choc chip promo.
Now Im not saying they r exactly the same as a Maryland, Indeed the original recipe seems to have been lost to the bicky Gods, however they r the closest thing I have tasted that comes anywhere near that biscuit nirvana.
So for those biscuit tragics like myself, diabetic too but Ill still have a couple sometime in the day, if u want ur tastebuds to revisit that biscuit holy of holys, there u are.
