I have no dog in this fight, as I don't particularly like Madonna.

But I just wonder whether the rage against yet another woman who expressed a strong political view will exceed Meryl Streep's insanely abusive threads on HotCopper.

So strange in this century, that when a woman or a man of colour expresses a passionate view that the regular posters here can't stand it. Maybe freedom of speech is over-rated. Who knows?
