Governments don't usually tip in money to cover ongoing operating costs which I think is the problem that IO and Whyalla face. They will contribute to research and development and the production of a new model as was the case with the car companies. I suspect that it's going to take the administrators some months to get their heads around the complexities of ARI, before they can start making recommendations. I'm sure both sides of politics will make warm and fuzzy statements supporting ARI but committing cold hard cash might be a different proposition. And if there's an early election I think that it will be over before strategies to save ARI are crystallised.
