Junior miner Arrium (ASX - ARI) has reported better than expected earnings (up 83%), on higher production numbers, despite the lower prices being received. (Sound like any other company you know?) ARI is trading up 12.6% today on this news. The big WOW is; that news was unexpected.
This is what a few here have been saying for a while now, the watchers & journos are only looking for negatives, and are surprised when the positives have a better than offset affect on the results.
