Indeed, thecook. Does anyone remember Telstras Sol Trujillo? He tried to pull similar stunts claiming that TLS wouldn't survive without radical reform.... well Telstra is still here and making money.
I beleive CEOs like Sol and Alan are in it for themselves as much as any other reason.
