The differences are many and varied.

Firstly, they have different company names.

Secondly, they are run by different people.

Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, their resources are in very different locations with very different near term opportunities. If you want something more specific, dial up the BOW threads and look at my post on "Shells implicit interest".

Lastly, the different coal basins have very very different properties and the type of extraction technique used by BOW would not work with ESG.

Just like the say in real estate. location location location! Its the science of nearology.
