Lee, I got in a long time ago because of the potential good as well as the potential profit. Same as you. And it certainly has been a rollercoaster.
However, being the eternal optimist, like Mr. Dbags, I lean to believe in Dr Coates. The potential here is huge and just because they have gone outside the "accepted" way doesn't mean it's wrong. In fact it's these sort of decisions that are game changers. I said in a much earlier post, if this comes off it means they fund a needed drug in house, with NO big pharma sucking on the profits. AWESOME for shareholders. A note here - This week QLD government announced that HIV numbers are spiking up again. The need for a drug like ATC is MORE relevant than ever. Not sure about US and European rates but Africa and Asia are utter time bombs.
The presentation was pretty upfront as to where the company is at and a timeline. 1st revenue Q3 2014 with Phase 3 clinical trial to coincide with the start of the revenue from this investment. One can't be much clearer that that. The manufacturing side is set up ready, as is a distribution network. That is due to management work who seem to have good faith in their product. The FDA and european equivalent have laid out an accelerated/easier Phase 3 clinical trial.
Interestingly, a number of the indicies traders are commenting on the rebound in coal prices world wide, especially metallurgical coal, which North Pratt is. As humans we still need coal as green technology isn't there YET, sadly.
Sure it could all fall over. The world isn't fair but at least management appear to have things going forward. They are just a phone call away as I found out. I'm happy to see how it pans out as Q3 2014 ain't that far away :) The stars seem aligned for me. A perfect storm.
