@vulcarum - thanks for your interest -
I'll post 2 more of his paintings - I have only photographed a dozen or so, with a cheap camera - I am at the moment on the look-out for a professional photographer, who doesn't cost the earth (as I haven't sold many of his books, still haven't put them on Amazon - from lack of a company name, will try again, my attempts with ASIC keep getting rejected - dealing with a computer program there grrrrrr!)
well here goes - first one is a teenage acrylic on canvas, very large - he was 12-13 years old - it needs to be professionally framed - a friend is making a large frame right now - it's photographed in 3 lots, but is one large painting
I wasn't able to photograph the painting fully - there is also an abandoned human settlement as well as some skulls showing on the ground - it is quite lovely and despite its apocryphal feeling it also feels bright and happy - I have it on a wall in my office.
Maybe one more - a landscape - "Metropolis Dreaming" - everyone who comes to my house comments on this one;
in the book I describe it as:
"One painting he had called ‘Metropolis Dreaming’ is enigmatic, but its nightmarish imagery is potent. In bird’s eye perspective it depicts a city scene with what seem at a first, cursory glance to be many high-rise structures. There are thick double lines of streets or a railroad curving into the distance and there are tall buildings which are contorted into wraith-like figures, intertwined, leaning longingly towards a spaceship. The spaceship seems to sniff out the town with its snub-nosed animal-like front – and three lines are dangling from it into the lesser parts of the city below – have aliens landed? Are the city’s skyscrapers already inhabited by the nameless horrors descending from the spacecraft?
Thankfully it is not a large painting (30cm x 55cm) - as it is truly frightening.
Thanks for you interest, @vulcarum
Go well
