I need to wait for my interpreter, who grew up near Frankfurt and thinks that most will see Geothermal Li as a great alternative to Coal, Nuclear open mines.
They say from the English summary that residents were in horror of the thought of Deep Geothermal Earthquakes.
I haven't seen any major protests.
Historically mistakes have been made in Geothermal wells and lessons learnt.
The one I know well, built in the 1960 's is now a park, Craters of the moon, man made craters.
5 kms away is GEO40 pumping brine and Li to the surface.
Fracking is banned in Germany.
I can't see earthquake insurance being any different from fire insurance.
The big question for insurance companies, that has to be addressed is fire from Li batteries and who pays for the damage.
Not to mention putting them out.
