my understanding is that even though someone may have booked the rig for x amount of time period it does not mean that they can't farm out the rig for x period of time if their drilling campaign encounters a delay of some kind. meo can still be talking to these people re their requirements. generally whoever has hired the rig will also have an option to extend once the original time period is completed. hope this makes sense.
