I hope there is something in Artemis too Akeen.
Atlas and Zeus depended on successful oil strikes. The difference for MEO now is that it is just a farmee announcement.
The way this is running I am hopeful that MEO may be able to negotiate/acquire a greater %age of the pie. MEO have always said 'up to 50%'. Who knows, they may have the upper hand in the arm wrestle - especially if there are multiple players. Perhaps the MEO team might be able to negotiate away from the risk of a first strike.
I am waiting to see how their negotiations go with Artemis because they will have to hone their skills to get Tassie Shoal off the ground (or seabed).
Because of the time frame it won't be long before we know the success of a potential well.
You are right, no matter how many figures are debated, the potential for riches to be spread around depends on the resource. The deadline for a well is the end of the year. November would be the time to drill because December is potentially cyclone season and we don't want to go there again.
Let's hope we all have a Christmas bonus.
