JUNIOR gold explorer Wedgetail Exploration says it has achieved exceptional near surface results from the latest round of RC drilling at its All Nations prospect within its larger Nullagine gold project in Western Australia.

Highlights from the latest campaign included hits of 22m at 6.07 grams per tonne from 16m, 10m at 16.25gpt from 54m and 12m at 5.87gpt from 30m.

The latest results continue the recent trend of high-grade near surface hits from All Nations with intersections of 16m at 8.45gpt from 11m, 11m at 4.48gpt from 0m and 19m at 4.11gpt from 27m reported last week.

Wedgetail said the current drilling program was designed to improve the confidence category from an inferred to a measured and/or indicated resource, as well as increase the known resource.

A feasibility study is currently being undertaken on the larger Nullagine project with an independent resource estimate for both the Golden Eagle and Barton prospect expected in the current quarter.

All Nations currently hosts an inferred resource of 330,000 tonnes grading 2.56gpt for 27,000 ounces of gold. All Nations is located 5km north east of its Barton project where high-grade drilling results were reported last month.

Barton has a resource of 1.23 million tonnes at 2.56gpt gold for 101,000 ounces, while Golden Eagle currently hosts 359,000oz. Wedgetail said an RC definition drill program was underway at its Little Wonder prospect with another planned for its Barton prospect.

The company has over 181 tenements in the Nullagine area covering 1491sq.km.
