I think there will be an announcement of asset sales in the near future. When that will be is uncertain but prospective buyers of CNP's assets would have been sweating on them falling over at the final hurdle. This may explain why there has been no finalisation of asset sales to date. This debt extension now gives CNP the upper hand in negotiations for asset sales and is more than likely, going to result in sales close to book value. The previous uncertainty would have been used against CNP, now time is on their side.
