Vyking, i believe the "support" you mention means that the Ventrassist is still implanted, i.e they haven't yet had the Ventrassist removed for a real heart transplant. If they are implanted under BTT protocol then i believe they'd be on the waiting list for a transplant. They would all be on some medication or other so i don't think this is what they're referring to.
I should emphasise these are just my beliefs as i'm not 100% sure on this.
